Job description

As a  Scientist in the field of cell and molecular biology, You’ll play a vital role in the discovery of the molecular basis of Multiple Myeloma pathology and drug resistance to the current therapies. You will also have the ability to develop new antimyeloma strategies in the international project about the effect of gankyrin protein as an oncogene in multiple myeloma and its implication in the relapse/progression of the disease. You’ll be working in a friendly and collaborative environment created by open-minded people, always ready for new challenges that new projects can bring, with an everyday opportunity to exchange knowledge with experienced members of the team.

You will work mainly on cell cultures and myeloma patients’ primary samples using cutting-edge technologies in proteomics, transcriptomics and cell function.

Requirements

• PhD in biological, or related sciences - the degree should be obtained up to seven years before starting the contract (not including maternity leaves);
• Scientific achievements in the field of hematology and/or molecular biology, documented by papers;
• Laboratory experience in molecular biology techniques and statistical methods;
• Commitment and availability in research work and the ability to independently perform experimental work (from designing experiments to analysis);
• Very good knowledge of English, spoken and written;
• Communicativeness and ability to work in a team and under pressure.
• Internship abroad is a plus.

Full-time contract (Employment opportunity of up to 3 years.) in a National Science Centre OPUS project about the effect of gankyrin protein as an oncogene in multiple myeloma.

Gross salary around 8000 PLN/per month
