Job description
The Human Resource Generalist aids with and facilitates HR processes across the organization ensuring positive employee relations. This role provides administrative support to the human resource function including, basic employee relations, file maintenance, HRIS entry, administration of employee benefits, and processing of payroll. Additionally, the HR Generalist serves as a support in the hiring process.
Essential Functions/ Responsibilities:
- Prepare, audit, and maintain employment records related to events such as hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions, using the HRIS and ATS software as well as the e-government systems
- Review and control monthly timesheets to accurately calculate and update payroll data for further processing
- Respond to inquiries regarding HR policies and procedures; make referrals when appropriate
- Assist in preparing onboarding process including following up to meet documentation requirements
- Gather and coordinate dissemination of information regarding new or revised HR related policies and procedures throughout the organization
- Coordinate employee engagement efforts including, but not limited to engagement surveys, new hire orientation, special events, and employee recognition programs
- Serve as the point of contact for HR related projects for the EMEA operations
- Work closely with the US based HR team to ensure consistency across the organization globally
- Pro-actively address employee concerns and coordinate any necessary investigations in conjunction with the VP of Human Resources, Director of Operations-EMEA, and external payroll provider
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism is maintained at all times as this role consistently deals with sensitive and confidential information
- Provide recruiting support to HR team by working to identify candidates for open roles, performing pre-screen interviews, scheduling interviews, and handling candidate communications as needed
- Utilize search engines, user groups, and professional associations to identify qualified hard to source candidates for skilled positions
- Perform special HR projects as assigned
Requirements

- Understanding of national employment laws; focus on regulations in other EU countries welcome
- Exceptional interpersonal communication and relationship building skills, including work in a multi-national organization
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism at all times
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality regarding payroll, benefits, and employee issues is a must
- Ability and desire to self-educate on areas for development
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and tools for remote working
- Experience using LinkedIn, Indeed, and other online recruiting tools
- Self-starter that proactively works on activities without being prompted
- High degree of accuracy and attention to detail
Education and Experience:
Experience as an HR generalist/coordinator or relevant human resources position
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or another related field preferred
Proven experience and success in a fast-paced, high-growth organization
C1 level English skills at minimum
Physical Demands:
Ability to sit for extended periods of time and to move intermittently throughout the workday
Ability to perform focused work with close attention to detail
Ability to interact with others, both in person and through phone, e-mail, and written correspondence
Ability to travel to all organization office locations as needed
